Residual Noise is a mixed media collage assembled on a skate deck, blending photocopied imagery, hand-cut ephemera, and layers of paint and texture. The piece pulls from themes of nostalgia, rebellion, and pop culture decay pairing kitsch icons with darker symbols to reflect the chaos and commentary of today’s youth.

PLOTTING
Timeline — 1 Week

Roles —  Artist

Supervision — Jimmy Luu

This started as a quick sketch just messing around with some loose skulls and letting
my hand do the thinking. I fed it through the vinyl cutter with a marker jammed in place,
not really knowing what would happen.

ALWAYS
SKETCHING
Timeline — Always

Roles —  Artist, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, & Photographer

Supervision — Self Directed

A near-daily ritual, sketching is where most of my ideas are born raw, quick, and unfiltered. My notebooks are a rotating collage of scribbles, typography trials, half-formed logos, and visual noise. There’s no real hierarchy just whatever’s in my head at the time. It’s part muscle memory, part therapy.
